Erik Manassy is the founder of Manassy Media and is a business communication strategist, a seasoned information technology director and a social media content engineer.  Over the past 15 years, he has developed a passion and expertise for how humans utilize technology and the social web to build relationships.

Throughout his career, Erik has held a variety 0f roles leading in web development, applications, marketing, sales and business development efforts in traditional companies as well as internet technology start-ups.  Erik also has experience at the college level teaching the “Webmaster Certificate Program” at Penn State.

In 2011, Erik was honored as a member of The Times Leader 40 Under Forty for his life’s work in the field of the Internet.  Erik has exceeded expectation in both life and in his professions and received the award of being named a leader, role model and overall pillar of the Northeastern Pennsylvania community.

Erik practices what he preaches and  blogs here at www.manassymedia.com almost daily about social media and business strategies.  He publishes helpful content about business communication, strategy, personal branding, social media, technology and start-up companies.

Erik also blogs at www.JetsTwit.com, a site dedicated to the NFL team the New York Jets.  This site is where he really learned the value of relationships with fans, players and other influential people related to football.

With an idea and some basic blogging knowledge, Erik as taken a concept and turned it into a very popular and successful blog in 8 short months.  Many opportunities and great experiences have occurred because of  Jets Twit.

Education

Erik holds a degree in Computer and Information Systems from Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Life in Hawley, Pennsylvania

No one can work all the time.  When he’s not at the keyboard, on his mobile or with a client, Erik enjoys spending time with his three children and wife.  He currently is his son’s cub scout leader and has coached his kids sports teams.

Erik also is a history buff specifically of World War II, where he reads many books about the subject.

The biggest interest outside of technology is the New York Jets.  Erik could probably be classified as a DIE HARD Jets fan.  Erik and his Father have attended every Jets home game since 2000 and only have missed two games.  You can read more about him at Jets Twit.
